Nigeria: Security agents disrupt NULGE meeting in Ibadan

Nigerian Security agents in the wee hours of Thursday in Ibadan under the supposed directivefrom the state government disrupted a peaceful meeting organized under the leadership of the National Union of Local Government employees who had sought to converge to deliberate on outstanding salaries ranging from six to 12 months.

Eyewitnesses explained that policemen numbering about ten prevented the officials from gaining access to their duty posts.

Reacting to the incident fiery civil rights activists Femi Aborishade described the raid as unconstitutional.
