US promises to sustain its exchange programmes in Nigeria

The American government says it has more than 20 exchange programmes with Nigeria and it is willing to sustain them.

The counselor for Public Affairs of the US embassy in Nigeria stated this at the inauguration of America International Exchange Alumni and mentoring of some Osun state students tagged “CODE OSUN”.

He said more than a million people have benefited from such exchange programmes globally with the assurance that the American government will continue to sustain them and improve on its relationship with Nigeria.

20 students were selected from four schools in Osun state by the America International Exchange Alumni to undergo computer training for 8 weeks.

The chairman of the alumni in Osun state,  Femi Adefila said the essence is to mentor the students and place them at per with their counterparts across the globe.
